Memorento

Your own word, made of memories

The word LOVE, a photo mosaic of Lotte’s photos on soft pink with LOTTE above it, framed on the white wall of a canal house in the morning. On the wooden table below are a laptop showing the same artwork, tulips and a cup of coffee.

Type a word of up to five letters, like LOVE or a nickname, and the app fills it with their photos.

Not every moment has a name. Type a word of up to five letters or a number of up to four digits, like LOVE, HOME, a nickname or an inside joke, and the app fills it with the photos of the person you choose.

Some things don’t fit in any box. A housewarming, a first year living together, a twenty-year friendship, a nickname only the two of you get. That’s what your own word is for: type up to five letters or up to four digits, and Memorento fills them with the photos of whoever you choose. Lotte chose LOVE. It could just as well have been HOME, US, YES or a house number.

Which word will it be?

The word LOVE made of Lotte’s photos on soft pink, with LOTTE above it. The same artwork framed, held in two hands.

The best word is one the other person recognises at a glance. A few ideas to start with:

  • For loveLOVE, US, YES or the date it all began, like 1406. Choose the two of you, and the app uses only photos you’re both in.
  • For a new homeHOME or the house number, filled with photos of moving day and the first night among the boxes.
  • For friendsA nickname, an inside joke in a few letters, or the year you met.
  • For yourselfThe dog’s name, your initials or the word you want to remember this year.

From poster to a film for the TV

Made with AI

Every package comes with the Immersive video: a film in which the photos pass by one by one and come together as your word at the end. Put it on the TV at a housewarming, on the projector at a wedding or an anniversary. The word only appears at the very end, and that’s exactly when the room goes quiet.

The artwork stays: digital, to print wherever you like, or printed and framed in black, white or a natural wood look, delivered to your door (within the Netherlands for now).

How to make it, on your own Mac

The sample artwork, the word LOVE made of Lotte’s photos on soft pink, with LOTTE above it, on a laptop screen.

Memorento works on your own Mac, with your own Photos library. Nothing is uploaded and you don’t need an account. Designing is free; you only pay when you choose what to keep.

  • Choose whose photos

One person, two people together, or an album, like a move or a trip.

  • Type your word

Up to five letters or up to four digits. Within minutes six designs appear, with the photos already in place.

  • Finish it

Swap photos, choose the background and the lettering, and add a name above or a line below.

From research

72% of Dutch people like getting something the giver made themselves. With your own photos it becomes truly yours.

People who spend money on others end up happier than those who spend it on themselves. So this gift makes two people happy.

Questions about your own word in photos

How long can my word be?

Up to five letters or up to four digits, without spaces. Want to say more? Put it in the line above or below the word, like your names or a date.

Can I make a name out of photos?

Yes, if the name has five letters or fewer, like KIKI, MILA or JESSE. For a longer name, use a nickname or initials, with the full name in the line above.

Can I use only photos of the two of us together?

Yes. Choose two people instead of one, and the app uses only the photos you’re both in. Perfect for LOVE or US.

Can I have it printed myself?

Yes. The digital artwork is a print-ready file: a PDF for a professional printer and a PNG for a copy shop or an online print service. Printed and framed, we deliver it within the Netherlands for now.

Which word will it be?

Download the free app on your Mac, type your word and watch your photos fill it. You only pay when you want to keep it.
